Limited Edition Windheads
To celebrate the first anniversary of Oculi Mundi's official launch, we present a limited edition of our popular 'Circio' Windhead Print in three luxurious, glowing variations!
This gorgeous little image is a unique intaglio print: each one is hand-inked and hand-pressed from a bespoke polymer plate, using a traditional printing press. The generous margin means that Circio can be displayed on a little easel, in a frame, or simply propped up on a shelf.
Image 8cm x 8cm, overall size 12cm x 12cm.
Limited edition of 50 in each colour. Each print comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Crafted by Plaintiff Press.
Circio is a lively wind from Francesco Berlinghieri's world map of 1482! Sometimes called Circius (Latin) or Thraskius (Greek), Circio is one of the mistrals, blowing from the north-west. Windheads are often found on old maps. They each have a specific name and characteristics, and were important for navigation as well as agriculture.
